99 Nights in the Forest Days Calculator

99 Nights in the Forest Days Calculator

Calculate how many nights and how much real time you need to reach Day 99 in 99 Nights in the Forest. Factor in day multipliers from rescued kids and beds.

In 99 Nights in the Forest each full cycle is about 4 minutes 30 seconds (3 min day + 1 min 30 sec night). The day counter can jump by more than 1 per night if you unlock the day multiplier (up to 9x) by rescuing kids and placing beds. This calculator turns your current day and multiplier into nights remaining and estimated playtime.

How Days Work in 99 Nights in the Forest

One day-night cycle lasts about 4 minutes 30 seconds:

  • Day - about 3 minutes (safe time to gather, craft, explore)
  • Night - about 1 minute 30 seconds (Deer hunts; stay near campfire)

By default, surviving one night advances the counter by 1 day. Rescuing the four kids and building beds from the Crafting Bench raises the multiplier up to 9 days per night. That is the main way to speedrun to Day 99.

Key Milestones

Day What happens
1 Start - Deer does not attack the first night
2 Deer may awaken; first Pelt Trader visit
4 First Cultist raid (then about every 4 days)
50 Halfway milestone - gem rewards
99 Main ending cutscene + gem rewards
99+ Endless mode - harder Deer and cultists

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter your current day and the target (usually 99).
  2. Select your day multiplier (1x if you have not unlocked beds/kids yet, up to 9x).
  3. Optionally add nights you will skip with the Temporal Accelerometer.
  4. Click Calculate to see nights remaining, estimated real time, and progress.

Speed Tips

  • Rescue all kids and build beds as early as possible to reach 9x.
  • Use the first night (Deer inactive) to stock wood and food.
  • Craft a Sundial (Crafting Bench Level 2) to track day/night timing.
  • Temporal Accelerometer (Level 5 bench) skips nights for Cultist Gems - strong for speedruns.

Cycle times are based on community-tracked values (about 3:00 day + 1:30 night). Actual timing can vary slightly by server or update. This tool is for planning only.
