Chapter 8: All the Time in the World
Laundry Door — 1805
The Laundry Door is located behind the main lobby service desk in a restricted area. To reach it, players must sneak past two maids or distract the nearby security guard. Inside the Manager's Office, a Security Note on the desk reveals the code 1805. Entering this code grants access to the laundry room.
Manager's Office Safe — 1952
In the same office, a safe sits beneath the manager's desk. The combination is hidden in plain sight: examine the Vino Sacramental wine display case along the wall. The date on the middle bottle reads 1952, which is the exact safe code. Opening it rewards the 6 of Roses collectible card and the Cellar Key, a useful item for later exploration.
Dining Room Fireplace — Lion, Snake, Goat
This puzzle is story-gated and must be solved to proceed. The hint comes from a Torn Note on an abandoned trolley and from red and blue banners hanging on the wall, both depicting a Chimera — a mythological creature with a goat head, snake tail, and lion body. At the fireplace device, press the animal icons in any order: Lion, Snake, and Goat. The fireplace opens immediately.
Chapter 11: Uninvited
Maintenance Door — 3256
During the courtyard escape sequence, players can find a spare keycard inside the Maintenance Room. The door is located behind the piano in the Dining Room. The code 3256 is stored on a laptop inside the library, which sits on the ground floor to the right of the courtyard exit. Be sure to disable or destroy the camera watching the closet door before entering the code, or guards will be alerted.
Chapter 12: Knightfall
Penthouse Safe — 1493
In Nicholas Webb's office, a note from Isola provides the hint: Diploma, Painting, Game, Model. This indicates both the order of digits and where to find them. Examining each object reveals the corresponding number:
- College Diploma — states he was first in class → 1
- Basilisk Painting — titled "Basilisk, rendition #4" → 4
- Video Game — called "Hyperion 9" → 9
- Architecture Model — marked as Site III → 3
Putting the digits together yields 1493. The safe contains the Command Code needed to reach the Perch.
Chapter 15: Man of the Hour
Q-08 Armoury Door — 1324
Inside the Q-Lab, the Armoury is managed by Waters. The code is his high score on the shooting range leaderboard, visible on a TV screen through the glass door. The score reads 1324. Entering this code unlocks the room and grants the Service Pistol.
Q-03 Stress Testing Cabinet — 4397
In the Stress Testing chamber, a locked cabinet sits next to the exit door. A nearby note mentions that the code relates to the test subject itself. Looking through the glass at the Range Rover inside the blast room, the license plate reads QLA 4397. The cabinet code is therefore 4397. Inside, players find a photo collectible plus Battery and Chemical resources.
Chapter 16: Wave of the Future
Archive Door — 1864
The Archive Door blocks the path to the Security Office where the ID bracelet must be upgraded. The quickest method to obtain the code is to pickpocket the Office Key from a civilian listening to a briefing near the Archive Room. With the key, enter the Locker Room down the hall and open the rightmost locker to find a puzzle note. Solving the riddle — which hints at the year of a famous battle — reveals the code 1864.
Alternatively, players can head to the Legal Department downstairs, distract the guard, and steal a Safe Key from a desk cubicle. Using this key on a safe in the downstairs office also yields the same code: 1864. Once entered, the Archive Room opens and a vent inside leads directly to the Security Office.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do codes work on all difficulty levels?
Yes. All safe and door codes are fixed across every difficulty setting and every playthrough. Entering them directly skips the environmental puzzle entirely.
Is finding the clue required before entering a code?
No. Players can input any code as soon as they reach the keypad or safe, even if they have not found the corresponding in-game hint.
Which safes contain missable collectibles?
The Manager's Office Safe holds the 6 of Roses card, and the Maintenance Room contains the 9 of Shields card. These are required for full completion. It is strongly recommended to open every safe before leaving an area.
Can the fireplace puzzle be skipped?
No. The Dining Room fireplace is story-gated and must be solved to continue. The sequence Lion → Snake → Goat works on the first attempt.
