How Much Do Twitch Streamers Make from Subscriptions?
The amount a streamer earns per sub depends on two factors: the subscription tier and the revenue split. Twitch offers three main tiers that viewers can choose from when supporting a channel.

Most new Affiliates and standard Partners start on the 50/50 split. That means a Tier 1 sub brings in $2.50, a Tier 2 sub brings in $5.00, and a Tier 3 sub brings in $12.50 before taxes and fees.
Twitch Revenue Split Explained
By default, Twitch and the streamer each keep 50% of subscription revenue. Streamers who maintain a strong paid subscriber base can unlock better rates through the Plus Program:
- 60/40 split — available when you hold at least 100 Plus Points for three consecutive months
- 70/30 split — available when you hold at least 300 Plus Points for three consecutive months
Plus Points are calculated from paid recurring subscriptions only: Tier 1 counts as 1 point, Tier 2 as 2 points, and Tier 3 as 6 points. Gifted subscriptions and Prime Gaming subscriptions do not add Plus Points, even though they still pay the streamer.
Prime Subs and Gifted Subs
A Prime Gaming subscription is free for the viewer (included with Amazon Prime) and still pays the streamer roughly the same as a standard Tier 1 sub under the 50/50 split. Gifted subs also generate revenue for the channel. Neither type contributes to Plus Points qualification, so they help your income but do not help you unlock a higher revenue split.
